Pakistan Wants To Reform Madrassas

By graduation, these students should have memorized Islam's holiest book and finer points of Islamic law. They will have mastered little else. But in the village, just around the corner from the madrassa, the principal of a government-funded girls' high school worries about the seminary's influence, and its lack of basic education.
