Festival of India (Charlotte)
Preparations for the 19th annual Festival of India is in full swing. The festival is organized by India Cultural Association, a non-profit with a mission to share Indian culture with the people of the Carolinas and to foster a better understanding of the cultural diversity of India in the local Indian community and the American community at large.
After the success of last year's event, the festival is going to be bigger and better in 2013. In the recent years, the two day event has been enjoyed by thousands of people. It provides a unique showcase of Indian art and culture in the Carolinas. Registration is now being accepted for dance performances, singing competition, art competition, Kids art gallery and food & souvenir vendors. Whether your kids learn any type of dances from a professional or not, this is a great chance to show-off their skills.
