The Tamil Sangam picnic is planned for September 19, 2010 from 10 am - 4 pm at Reedy Creek Park in Charlotte. This is a great time to catch up with friends. Lunch will be served and there will be plenty of fun activities for both Kids and Adults. Volunteers are needed to prepare food and help organize the activities. The Triangle Science Festival is a grass-roots initiative to raise awareness among the public about the role of science in our everyday lives and important science issues. The Festival will achieve this by celebrating the individuals, businesses and institutions that make the Triangle such a great place to do science.

Calling scientists, engineers, doctors and anyone interested in science, medicine and engineering! The Triangle Science Festival is celebrating the individuals, businesses and institutions that make the Triangle such a great place to do science. The goal is to raise awareness among the public about the role of science in our everyday lives and important science issues. You can participate by hosting an event such as a lecture or presentation, lab tour, field trip for school students, hands-on activities or exhibiting at the Festival Expo. Also on the program are contests, theatre, comedy, poetry, art and music. You can also volunteer or sponsor the Festival to promote your organization or business. All events are free and open to the public. The Festival will take place September 25 to October 2, 2010 across multiple locations in the Triangle region of North Carolina.
